  • What happened? Austin-Travis County EMS officials responded to the 8000 block of Anderson Square, which is just south of U.S. 183 in the city’s Wooten neighborhood, right before 1 p.m. A man, who has not been identified by officials as of Sunday evening, was found with a gunshot wound in his torso and was taken to a hospital where he is in stable but serious condition. • Austin officials caution they only have preliminary information. Few details have been released about what led to the shooting, but Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis said she heard a foot pursuit happened before the man was injured. She noted when sharing that information that she had not yet been briefed by federal partners. [Austin American-Statesman]
