A Shady Grove-Inspired Restaurant Is Now Open

Shady Grove is back! Sort of! A Little Shady, a Shady Grove-inspired restaurant, is now open in Kyle. The restaurant’s menu includes some “greatest hits” from the iconic Shady Grove, which closed in 2020. [A Little Shady]

Crosswalk Removal Is Costing the City Thousands

Austin has already spent roughly $28,000 to remove rainbow crosswalks and other road murals following a state directive. But as the city plans to spend $13,500 more, the total cost will be more than $41,000 and could rise from there. [Axios Austin]

Goats To Return to the Trail

Goats will be clearing out brush, including poison ivy, on the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail on Saturday and Sunday near Austin High School. The goats are part of a Trail Conservancy program and help get rid of unwanted vegetation. [KVUE]

Barton Springs Pool Fish May Be Due to Recent Flooding

A Barton Springs Pool regular spotted a large fish, possibly an Asian grass carp, in the water recently and thought someone might be sneaking into the popular swimming hole and releasing the animals.
