🚨 Yogurt shop killer ID'd

👏 Incredible news! Austin police are expected to close the 1991 yogurt shop killings of four teenage girls, thanks to genealogy DNA testing. Investigators identified Robert Eugene Brashers, who died by suicide in 1999, as the suspected killer. Police will speak on the case today.

🏗️ Convention Center Construction Moves Into Second Phase
Demolition on the city’s convention center downtown is nearly done and Austin City Council members have approved a plan to install utility connections, infrastructure upgrades, street improvements, and more. [Austin Business Journal]

This bronze statue of Julius Whittier, The University of Texas at Austin’s first Black letterman and member of the 1970 National Championship team, is located outside Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, near the intersection of Robert Dedman Drive and Deloss Dodds Way.
