📉 Number of missing in floods drops
July 21, 2025 · Kelsey Bradshaw
⭐ Welcome to Monday! Last week, we launched City Cast Austin Neighbors, our brand new membership program. We’re so grateful for the support we’ve already seen and we can’t wait to share all the perks with our new Neighbors.
If you didn’t get a chance to join, you can become a City Cast Austin Neighbor right now. We still have a few of those extra special City Cast Austin totes to give away to folks who join today.
P.S. We’re donating your first month of membership fees to the Austin Disaster Relief Network as support to our neighbors impacted by the devastating floods in Hill Country and in the surrounding areas.
P.P.S. A special session of the Texas Legislature starts today. Are you caught up?

🤔 Elon Musk’s Power in Texas Government
The world’s richest man may not have the same power he once had in the White House, but Elon Musk has become quite powerful in Austin. He successfully lobbied the Texas Legislature this year, and recently won a fight with his West Lake Hills neighbors. [City Cast Austin 🎧]

Where Is This?

Congratulations to Jeff J. for guessing last week’s “Where Is This?” correctly! This photo was taken at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center’s annual “Dinos in the Wild” exhibit. The exhibit is open until Aug. 17, so you still have time to see it! It’s for real so cool!
Can you guess where this week’s photo was taken?
