🚨 Local Flood Warnings Came Late, Austinites Say
Travis County officials plan to do an analysis of its July 5th flood response, after residents in the area say warnings were not sufficient and did not make clear how severe flooding was. [Austin American-Statesman]
- More than 160 people are still missing after floods in the Hill Country. At least 115 people died. [The Associated Press]
- Gov. Greg Abbott announced 18 items for the upcoming special session of the Texas Legislature including flood warning systems, along with emergency communications and relief funding for the Hill Country. [Office of the Texas Governor]
