What Happened in Kerr County

Heartbreak and heroism filled Kerr County over the weekend as parents searched alongside first responders for their missing daughters who were sleeping at Camp Mystic when the Guadalupe River rose over the weekend. Flooding in Austin was also devastating, and there are many ways you can help. [City Cast Austin 🎧]

The Latest: Dozens Dead, Girls Still Missing in Central Texas

Kerr County officials on Sunday said 68 people, including 28 children, were confirmed dead, and 10 girls and one counselor from Camp Mystic are still missing due to the Guadalupe River flooding. Officials say that roughly 850 people have been rescued from the area so far. [Kerr County Sheriff’s Office]

4 Dead, 13 Missing in Travis County

Flooding also hit Central Texas Friday night and lasted into Saturday, leading to the deaths of four people. At least 13 people are missing as of this writing. In Burnet County, seven people are missing, including a firefighter who was working a rescue.
