The Austin Convention Center is set to be demolished in April and festival season will look pretty different until it's back in 2029. Visit Austin’s Director of Communications Wesley Lucas is sharing how festivals in the city will look these next few years and what happens to its status as a tourist destination. 🚨 NTSB: Driver Didn’t Slow For Merge in Deadly I-35 Crash
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating why a man driving a tractor-trailer didn’t slow down last week when lanes of traffic merged on Interstate 35. The truck crashed into vehicles near Parmer Lane, leaving five dead and others injured. [Austin American-Statesman]
- The truck driver remains jailed on a $1.2 million bond, with five counts of intoxication manslaughter, and two counts of intoxication assault. [Travis County Sheriff’s Office]

🎶 How To Get $10 Tickets to ‘Hamilton’
“Hamilton” will be at Bass Concert Hall March 25-April 6, and you can enter a lottery to win $10 tickets to each performance. The lottery will open via the “Hamilton” app at 10 a.m. every Friday while the show is in town. The lottery for the March 25 show is currently open until noon Thursday. [Texas Performing Arts]
