A man accused of killing someone last year is back in custody on a $100,000 bond, after he was released from jail when the Travis County District Attorney’s Office missed a deadline to indict within three months. In an agreement reached this week, Hearst will purchase the Austin American-Statesman from Gannett Co., Inc., in a deal that is expected to close by March 31.
