Convicted murderer Daniel Perry, who received a pardon this year from Gov. Greg Abbott in a 2020 fatal shooting of a Black Lives Matter protester, was back in court on Tuesday facing a deadly conduct charge related to the shooting. He faces a year in prison if convicted. [KVUE]

🚗 Parking Rules Near Austin High Changing in 2025
Starting Jan. 6, weekday parking on Stephen F. Austin Drive between West Cesar Chavez Street and Veterans Drive will be reserved for Austin High School students between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. The school is near the Lady Bird Lake hike-and-bike trail. [KXAN]

😦 I can’t stop thinking about this story. A University of Texas at Austin biology building ceiling that collapsed last month landed on a sculpture that’s on loan from New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. I need to hear the phone call UT made to the museum!
