🗳️ Austin Runoff Results Are In: Who Won What
Austin-area voters decided three races over the weekend. Mike Siegel beat out Gary Bledsoe in the City Council District 7 race, Fernando Lucas de Urioste won an at-large seat on the Austin Independent School District Board of Trustees, and Christopher Harvey is Manor’s new mayor. [KUT]

🔌 City Council Adopts Energy Plan
In a unanimous vote, Austin City Council approved an energy generation plan to meet the growing population’s power needs. The plan prioritizes system resiliency, reliability, and environmental sustainability as Austin works to be 100% carbon-free energy by 2035. [KXAN]
🎒 Austin ISD Addresses Special Ed Issues
After the special education department was denounced as a “toxic work environment” and a system’s backlog prevented students from entering the program, district leaders announced they are making progress on improvements. The district must fully transition to a new platform to track changes by September 2025. [KVUE]
