🗳️ Llanes Pulido Drops Recount Pursuit, Concedes
Carmen Llanes Pulido officially ended her mayoral campaign on Friday, when she decided not to amend and refile her rejected recount request. “It's time to turn my attention to what is in the absolute best interest of the constituents of Austin,” she told Hey Austin. [Carmen Llanes Pulido]
✅ Bible-Infused Curriculum Approved
The Texas State Board of Education approved Bluebonnet Learning, a Bible-infused curriculum for elementary school students, to be offered to Texas schools in an 8-7 vote. Experts have said the curriculum is not factually accurate, and alludes to Christianity more than any other religion. [The Texas Tribune]

The University of Texas System Board of Regents officially approved a measure to expand its free tuition program to students whose families make less than $100,000 annually. [KUT]
