According to an arrest warrant affidavit for Ricky Thompson III, 17, the teenager told police he fired three gunshots at another teenager during the Round Rock Juneteenth celebration on June 15. 🚧 Construction To Start on Wishbone Bridge at Longhorn Dam

Construction on a new bridge at Longhorn Dam will start July 1. As a result, Longhorn Shores and the tunnel from Krieg Fields under Pleasant Valley Road will be closed, and fencing will be added at Canterbury Park, Krieg Fields, and Longhorn Shores.

• On July 8, vehicular traffic going eastbound on Canterbury Street in East Austin, and Canterbury Park and its parking lot will be closed. The unnamed peninsula near Holly Street will also be closed.
• On July 15, an 18-month detour will begin on the Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail. Trail users will be rerouted north along the east side of Pleasant Valley Road. The detour will go west along Canterbury Street and south down Pedernales and Holly streets. [City of Austin]
